Head Full of Flowers Interview

Hey guys! Just to let you all know I recently did a collaboration with Lizzy from Head Full of Flowers and I'm really excited to share it with you all. For those of you who used to follow my old blog it's a similar principle of interviewing bloggers and it's really quite cool to be on the opposite side of it all, lets be honest who doesn't like talking about themselves...that's the reason tags exist!

So for all of you who are interested you can read the interview right here!

For those of you who don't want to read any more of my ramblings she also does other little bits and bobs such as projects and the occasional fashion related thing. Definitely check her out for a good read!

This post looked a little bare so have a lovely pug pirate

I'm afraid that's it for this very brief blog post but don't worry I'm not going to fob this off and count it as a real post towards my "monthly post target" (Yep that's a thing now!). I do still want to force my festive ways upon you whilst it's still December and I have my last exam of the semester on Tuesday so after that I'm free to blog until my hearts content. I'm spending a chunk of Christmas break in London but I'm planning to pay the extortionate Travelodge WiFi prices just so I can keep you lovely lot updated. I'm just that dedicated ;)

Old Friends New Beginings

Hey guys thought I'd give you a little weekly update of what's been going on in my world as of late. As some of you may know if you follow me on twitter I had a practical exam for biology on Thursday which I well and truly ballsed up (Fuck you plants, fuck you!). Not going to lie that really got me down. I knew the material and I just made one really stupid mistake that I knows cost me a few marks, I know it's only a couple but I have a bit of a perfectionist streak and I'd rather get something done well or not do it at all, guess that's another personality trait I need to work on (I'm gathering a fair few new years resolutions mind)!

Me trying to do practical science
On a lighter note I got to spend my weekend catching up with some old girlfriends that I haven't seen in a while which was much needed! Don't get me wrong I love having my guy friends about but you just can't drag them shopping and stick a face mask on them, but oh how I wish I could haha. On the Saturday I met up with Laura who I last saw on Halloween, we went into Reading to get some much needed Christmas shopping done, and bloody hell she is quite an enabler, don't think my bank balance will be forgiving me anytime this year. On a positive though I now have all my presents done and dusted and only the wrapping to go (Eeep I adore wrapping gifts, I'm a bit of an odd one really) which means I can spend the remains of my dwindling bank balance on having a good time over the Christmas break. After our shopping spree and enough KFC to induce week long food comas we went down to the riverside to have a few cocktails in a nice little pub called The Slug & Lettuce, it was only about six in the evening by this point so it was lovely to just have a few drinks somewhere really chilled out with no loud music and no one vomiting in the corner...nice.

Rumberry Mojitos!
On the Sunday I then met up with a lovely girly called Lily-Jasmine, who I haven't seen in about three and a half years now! It's crazy how time flies and I really need to have more catch up sessions like this because it's so nice to rekindle old friendships and it was like we'd never been apart! After a quick shop around town (yes more shopping *slaps wrist*) we went back to her house where I introduced her to the wonderful world of blogger and she showed me the wonderful ways of journal writing. I really think I'm going to start keeping a journal you know? As much as I love you guys I can't put my entire life onto the internet so I think it'll be a good way for me to keep a record of what's been happening in my life. As this year has proved, so much can change in a year!

So all in all this weekend has been a success! I really do think it's important to make time to catch up with old friends because you never know what may come of it and at the end of the day as Lily rightly said your friends are the ones who are always going to be there when all else fails. So guys that's enough of my ramblings for one evening as I'm clearly just writing this post to get out of writing my Chemistry Presentation (good old Arenes...Kill me). But seriously, pick up your phone and text a friend you haven't in a while, you never know where it could lead.

Christmas Adverts of 2013

Hey m'lovlies, Just a quick post for you all before I head off to sixth form for the day and apologies to all you scrooges but it's another Christmas related one! I just wish to express my undying love for the Three Phone Networks Christmas advert, if you are yet to see it please put everything in your life on hold and take a minute to watch the video which is conveniently embedded below.

I'm sorry Coca-Cola but your festive advert has been well and truly trumped this year, it's a pug, in antlers, on a sled, being dramatic...I digress. I would also like to give an honorable mention to the KFC advert this winter, it's one of those adverts that doesn't match its product at all but it just works, unfortunately I can't find a video for you of that one but keep an ear out for it. It's half an ad break long, you can't miss it!

So are there any other Christmas adverts that you think should be in the running for "Best Christmas Advert of 2013"? Let me know in the comments! Or even better have you seen any adverts this year that have made you just want to switch off the TV? Sorry Argos but I can't stand your little blue aliens, they're irritating and all in all a bit weird.

Tubby Turns Two!

Hey M'lovelies, so if it hasn't been made apparent yet I am a proud mother of a wonderful fur baby and today my special little girl turned two! So here is a post dedicated to my wonderful Tubs with some fun facts and an array of pictures from over the past two years bound to make you squeeze the nearest object to you in total cuteness overload.

1. She is a pug.
2. She is 80% blind in her right eye.
3. She acts more like a cat then a dog and adores cat toys.
4. She can get herself up the stairs but not down them.
5. Whenever we're putting the washing on the line she steals and hordes the green clothes pegs (only the green ones... Color blind my ass!).
6. She can't do hard flooring and will slide until something blocks her path (normally a cupboard of some description).
7. She has many nicknames; TubTub, Tubby Custard, Tubby Monster, Chubby Tubby and Mrs Toasty to name a few...I'm surprised she actually knows her own name!
8. She smells like toast, constantly, and we have no idea why.
9. Me and my family have taken to singing "I knew you were trouble" whenever she walks into a room, yes you read that right my dog has a theme tune!
10. She has a big brother called Ash who is a Golden Labrador and she like to hide under him when she's scared.
11. If you have toast and marmite she will indeed mug you for it.
12. She has had surgery on her nose to help her breathe more easily, my dog has had a nose job!
13. She is scared of space hoppers, gnomes & sponges
14. Once when we were cutting her nails she let out a human like scream whist we were trying to get her to stay still...we get it done professionally now.
15. She is total mischief but I love her to bits and would be lost without her!

And now I present, Tubby spam! Please excuse me young face and bad hair...we all make mistakes?

A fair few of these pictures were taken on my Cannon before I got the hang of using it hence the fuzzyness so you'll have to excuse my amateur photography!

Filming A Music Video!?

Hey m'lovelies! This post is so overdue considering the events that I'm about to unfold happened back in October, however it was way to awesome of an experience to not share with you all. So on the 26th of October I ventured up to Piccadilly Circus to take part in the shooting of the new Wings of Pegasus music video!

So for those of you who don't know who WoP are, they're a band fronted by the fabulous man that is Fil Henley, more commonly known as "Fil with an F" from The X-Factor 2013. Before Fil made his way onto the X-Factor and into our hearts WoP filmed a music video to their song "That's Metal" which I will enable below for you all. However, after the attention he received after his ITV appearance the decision was made to reshoot the video and give the fans a chance to get involved. This opportunity is what lead to me sitting on a train to London at 7am brimming with excitement.

So I arrived at Piccadilly Circus with my partner in crime and camera in hand where I saw Fil and the crew starting to set up for the shoot, this is where I had a problem, I'm awful at talking to people I don't know, even more so when they're well known. So after a few minutes of lurking I finally found the balls to say hi to people which resulted in me meeting a lovely girl who was soon to become my exercise buddy running laps of the plaza with me. So here's the basic set up of the shoot, Fil runs around Piccadilly shirtless playing guitar with crowds of fans around him going off the same theme as the original video. The shoot consisted of about six takes in total and god damn it I was determined to get in some shots!

After about the third shot me and Ann decided standing about smiling wasn't getting us anywhere and we decided to go full out. This of course involved making extensive plans of action for every shot and running around as fast as a pair of high heeled docs will allow, my old PE teacher would of been so proud of me! In the end it all paid off as we got a good headbanging session with Fil in and various other glimpses for us singing our hearts out, now all there is to do is wait until the video is realised in 2014 to see if we actually make an appearance exciting stuff!

Picture By Terry Payman: Can you spot us?

After the shoot ended and the crew left we got to have a good talk with Fil and he signed our flyers and even gave us free t-shirts. Him and the crew were lovely and the whole experience was definitely worth the hours in the cold and the sore feet in the morning. I've always wanted to be part of a music video shoot regardless of how small a part I had and now I've finally done it and it's something to tick off the bucket list!
Are any of you guys fans of wings of pegasus? Is this is the first time you've heard of them, if so give them a listen and what do you think? I'll catch up with you guys very soon!
